Dining room and entrance to kitchen

This is what the dining area looks like now, with furniture, paintings on the wall, and (although you might not see it) clutter on the table. The entrance to the kitchen has a pocket door, which is kind of silly. Since the other side is open to the sunroom and family room, why put in a door at all?
