This is the master bedroom, somewhat smaller than the one we had in the renter. We debated knocking out a wall to enlarge the bedroom, but ultimately decided against it. Instead, we got creative with the closets. If you take off the doors and remove the shelving (presuming you have other closet space, and we did), they make handy alcoves for dressers. That way, your furniture is countersunk into the walls. It also makes it harder to stub your toe on a dresser when moving around in the dark.
