Grapes in the backyard

That there was a pergola in the backyard wasn't particularly surprising. For years, we'd noticed them on visits as being nearly ubiquitous in at least northern California. What we didn't expect was that, not only was there one on the patio in the back yard, but that it would have grapes growing on it. We were under no illusions that these were wine grapes, but who cares? There were grapes growing right there in the back yard!
