Gerry works for Optiv, an IT security firm. It used to be called Accuvant, and Donna worked for them for some years. It's a work from home position, as moving to Denver, where they're headquartered, wasn't an option. When not at home, there will be travel involved, so Gerry will get to see yet more of the country.
Donna works for Securonix, also a computer security firm. Also from home, although her job doesn't usually involve travel. We're still not sure how we both wound up in this line of work, but it keeps us both busy and puts wine bottles into the rack in the dining room.
While not actually a job, Donna's hobby of beading has become a company, an additional source of income, and a chance to see more of the state. We've done craft shows in the area from Berkeley to Lodi, and now own lots of hardware to use for tables, displays, etc. The breakdown is mostly pretty simple: Donna is the artisan, and Gerry handles the moosework of moving tables, canopy, and other hardware into place for craft shows. Said hardware can include 160 pounds of sandbags to hold the canopy in place. This arrangement works until Gerry develops serious arthritis or just plain gets too old.
